About the App:

DiveSense Advisor is a mobile app designed to provide real-time insights and recommendations for divers, snorkelers, and water enthusiasts. It simplifies the decision-making process by analyzing tidal patterns, weather, water temperature, sun position, and more. By synthesizing this data, the app offers a simple and straightforward recommendation as a percentage, indicating whether ‘today’ is a good day to go out.

Job Description:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Co-Founder with a strong background in front-end UI/UX design to lead the development of a new dive and snorkeling app. This project is a side venture from the founder of Aeolian. You’ll collaborate closely with the back-end developer (and fellow co-founder), who will handle business objectives and technical architecture. We need someone with a keen eye for design, a passion for creating beautiful user experiences, and a desire to be part of something big from the ground up.

What We’re Looking For:

• Lead the UI/UX design and front-end development of the mobile app. We have a good skeleton in place already.
• Create a visually appealing, intuitive, and consistent user interface that aligns with the app’s overall vision.
• Collaborate with the back-end developer to ensure smooth integration between design and functionality.
• Develop designs that adhere to modern iOS design guidelines and best practices.
• Contribute to the overall product vision and provide input on design-related decisions.
• Passion for the outdoors, especially diving, snorkeling, or ocean-related activities, is a plus but not required.
• Ability to think like a co-founder—someone who is ready to take ownership and bring ideas to the table.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
• Someone who can contribute a minimum of 10 hours per week to the project.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in UI/UX design and front-end development for mobile applications.
• Proficiency with SwiftUI or similar frameworks for iOS.
• Strong understanding of modern design principles and the ability to create user-friendly interfaces.
• Collaborative and communicative, with a willingness to engage in the product development process.
• Passion for diving, snorkeling, or outdoor activities is a plus, but not required.
