Concept Artist

We are seeking a creative and skilled Concept Artist to join our dynamic team. Our company develops slot games, and we are looking for a talented artist who can design compelling visual concepts tailored to diverse themes and genres. If you have a passion for storytelling through art, an eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams, we'd love to hear from you! Requirements

• Familiarity with game mechanics, especially slot gameplay principles;
• Ability to navigate key slot game mechanics and adapt visual concepts to specific game functionalities for optimal interaction;
• Proficiency in adapting to different styles (from fantasy and historical themes to classic and minimalism);
• Skill in selecting colors and creating atmosphere to ensure visual harmony with slot mechanics and themes;
• Understanding of composition principles to create visually engaging screens and backgrounds, emphasizing key objects;
• Ability to highlight essential details, such as symbols, bonuses, or winning lines, for easier perception and player engagement;
• Strong sketching skills to develop drafts, concepts for symbols, and scene layouts;
• Capability in refining forms, poses, and proportions for unique character designs and environmental elements;
• Basic knowledge of animation to create concept frames and storyboards for subsequent animation;
• Ability to research visual and cultural aspects specific to certain themes and regions, ensuring authenticity and uniqueness;
• Skill in incorporating cultural and genre features into slots, adding individual style and depth;
• Effective collaboration with game designers, animators, developers, and other team members for precise concept implementation;
• Willingness to discuss ideas constructively and make revisions according to team and art director feedback;
• Proficiency in using ChatGPT for idea generation in the concepting phase, enhancing and diversifying visuals;
• Experience with Stable Diffusion interfaces (Forge, Fooocus, ComfyUI) for quick sketch rendering and concept variations is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Research themes and visual solutions tailored to slot game mechanics;
• Adapt visual concepts to different styles and genres;
• Create reference and mood boards, as well as color keys for specified themes and styles;
• Prepare rough concepts and sketches; develop drafts and detailed sketches for symbols;
• Design short storyboards for animating key scenes and game events;
• Make adjustments based on feedback from the art director and other team members
