New Communication is a vibrant branding and web agency based in Thessaloniki, Greece, dedicated to building impactful brands and highly effective digital experiences for our clients. We believe that strategy, stunning visual design, and seamless functionality must work together.

We’re seeking a talented, detail-oriented Freelance UX/UI Designer to collaborate with our in-house brand designers and development team on client website projects.

This is a remote, project-based role perfect for a designer who values flexibility, clear communication, and delivering a truly polished product.

The Role

You will be the bridge between our client's brand strategy and the final website interface.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Wireframing & Prototyping: Designing clear, conversion-focused sitemaps, user flows, and low-to-high-fidelity wireframes that define the website structure and user journey.
• UI Mockups & Polished Designs: Translating approved wireframes and brand guidelines (developed by our in-house team) into pixel-perfect, cohesive user interface mockups, specifically for website projects.
• Collaboration with Brand Designers: Working hand-in-hand with our internal brand designers to ensure the final UI is a seamless extension of the client's visual identity, typography, and colour palettes.
• Usability Focus: Ensuring all designs prioritise usability, accessibility (WCAG standards), and mobile-first responsiveness.
• Iteration & Feedback: Proactively seeking and incorporating feedback from the internal team to refine designs and troubleshoot usability issues.

What You'll Need to Succeed

We’re looking for a freelancer with a proven track record, clarity of thought, and a commitment to quality.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2-4+ years of professional experience focusing on designing websites and digital products.
• Exceptional proficiency with Figma (our main design tool) including the ability to create and utilise components, styles, and auto-layout.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is required to seamlessly work with assets and brand files provided by our in-house brand designers.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating your process and the quality of your finished UI designs, particularly for web projects.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage your own time, and meet deadlines in a remote/freelance setting.
• Strong understanding of web accessibility principles (WCAG) and SEO and how to apply them in your designs.

Highly Desired (Bonus Points):

• Familiarity with the capabilities and constraints of modern web development (e.g., a basic understanding of HTML/CSS, popular CMS platforms like WordPress).
• Familiarity with user research/testing tools (e.g., Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity) to inform design decisions.
