About the Opportunity:
The organization is a national retirement services provider assisting clients with managing and administering retirement plans. The Internal Sales Wholesaler supports sales goals through relationships with Financial Advisors, Recordkeeper Wholesalers, and CPAs, using industry data and trends to drive sales in assigned regions.
Responsibilities:
• Create and implement outbound call campaigns for assigned regions.
• Identify and develop new financial advisor relationships through marketing campaigns and outbound calls.
• Participate in point-of-sale meetings with prospects, advisors, and wholesalers.
• Communicate the organization’s value proposition, products, processes, and fees to prospects and referral sources.
• Respond to inbound requests for retirement plan product information and sales support.
• Prepare new business proposals and cost analysis for all lines of business.
• Determine custom pricing to meet minimum annual required revenue.
• Guide advisors and prospective clients through completion of sales documentation.
• Review client service agreements, plan specifications, and information forms for completeness.
• Coordinate with Sales Consultants for the transition of new business paperwork.
• Oversee the prospect illustration process to meet delivery deadlines.
• Maintain data in the client database CRM system.
• Ensure smooth transition from sales to implementation.
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of retirement plan services and ERISA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Time management skills with attention to deadlines.
• Minimum 2 years of defined contribution or industry experience.
• Outbound business development experience.
• Experience with financial advisors, recordkeeping wholesalers, and CPAs.
• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current QKA, CPFA, or CPFC designation, or ability to obtain one within 12 months.
• Ability to work productively in a remote environment.
• Reliable, high-speed internet connection and a quiet, well-lit workspace.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft SharePoint preferred.
