- Collaborate with the Animation team on intermediate to complex animation tasks across various projects and styles.
- Consistently deliver high-quality animation for keyframe, motion capture, in-game, cinematic sequence, VFX, and shot-based work.
- Work closely with Animation Directors, Supervisors, and Leads, following artistic direction and project requirements.
- Communicate effectively with Production and Leadership regarding performance ideas, shot deadlines, and deliverables as well as any creative and/or technical concerns.
- Attend dailies, rounds, and team reviews, and actively participate in department meetings.
- Implement animation notes and feedback to enhance overall quality.
- Maintain professionalism and open communication regarding direction and changes.
- Conduct training sessions with Supervisor approval and assist in mentoring Apprentices and Junior Animators.
- Utilize necessary production tools proficiently to meet production requirements.
- Contribute to team efforts and perform additional tasks to support department goals as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of production experience.
- Ability to work efficiently and professionally both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Autodesk's Maya.
- Strong understanding of animation principles and techniques.
- Utilization of reference and research for animation tasks.
- Knowledge of human and animal anatomy.
- Skill in conveying emotion through body language and facial expressions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn independently and with the team.
- Professional demeanor in all interactions and meetings.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- A working understanding of Unreal Engine is helpful but not required.
- Some working experience with motion capture data is preferable but not required.
- Some working experience with creature animation is preferable but not required.
