UI/UX Designer

Our client, ranked as the #1 University for innovation, is hiring a UI/UX Designer to support them on a contract basis. This hire is specifically for a start-up within the University providing continued education and innovative resources to individuals of all demographics outside of college degrees!

Hourly Rate: Up to $50/hour (Max Rate - DOE)

Duration: 6+ Months (40 hours/week)

*Possibility to extend and/or convert to FTE (not guaranteed)

Employment Type: W2 Only (cannot provide sponsorship)

Location: 100% Remote

*AZ or CA candidates preferred, open to PST/MST time zone candidates only!

Experience Required:

• 2+ years of experience hands on in UI and UX Design capacity including wireframing, prototyping, knowledge of design systems and/or ability to design pixel perfect
• Expertise in delivery of intuitive, user-centered, and scalable UI/UX design experiences informed by user insights
• Conduct basic user research and gather insights from data to inform decisions, understand user needs, behaviors and pain points
• Help to integrate a user testing process within the design workflow, ensuring research findings directly inform and shape actionable design decisions
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective design solutions
• Comfortability working in a fast paced environment
• Proficient within Figma (required), Sketch/Adobe XD (or similar), Adobe Creative Suite
• Portfolio showcasing end to end case studies and clean on-trend design esthetic - required - any applications without their portfolio listed on their resume (with password) will be rejected
