Kane Ivey

I’m a graphic designer based in the American Midwest. My professional journey as an artist began at Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska. Higher education has gifted me a skillset that I use every day, both in my creative work and in my personal life. I am actively proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, with my strongest abilities in Illustrator and InDesign. However, there is so much more I learned during my college career. Problem-solving, time management, and multitasking are all things I learned to develop as tools to further my success and lift up the people around me while working collaboratively. These skills are essential for teamwork and creating an environment for all to flourish in. I chose to pursue graphic design because it provides an outlet for communication that nothing else in the 21st century offers us. Graphic design strikes a perfect balance between art and communication; It causes both artists and audiences to think more deeply about how ideas are expressed, and what different interpretations can blossom out of the one decision of how that message is put out into the world. Since graduation, I have been working strategically to improve my skills in Typography, Illustration, 3D art, and brand design. My current goals are to become even more proficient with 3D software and branch out into physical mediums with woodworking.
