Product Designer

Akkodis is seeking an UX Product Designer role for a contract role with a client in Boston, MA (Remote). We’re ideally looking for applicants with experience in **designing complex digital products and strong expertise in Figma (including advanced features). Industry experience in regulated sectors such as insurance, financial services, or healthcare is a strong plus.Pay Range:$61-$64/**hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

What is the most important skillset:

• Experience designing complex applications or tools. Insurance, financial services or healthcare experience a large plus.
• Experience with Figma is required - comfort with advanced features like auto-layout and components.
• Must be collaborative, strong communication skills, and be able to work in a cross functional environment.

Day to day will be like:

• With close direction from a Lead UX Designer, this role will support 2 agile development teams and 2 Product Managers.
• Focused on Figma production work to start, transitioning into more strategic decisions over time based on comfort and knowledge of the space.
• Will be supporting the launch of new applications and experiences used by insurance sales professionals, as part of a company-wide tech modernization initiative.

• You’ll join an 80+ person UX organization consisting of kind and talented product designers, content designers, and UX developers.

About this role:

• We’re looking for a Product Designer to join the team supporting the modernization of our primary sales tools and experiences for independent agents and sales call center representatives.
• Under general direction, you will deliver user-centered design solutions that support the creation of best-in-class digital tools for power users aimed at increasing agent efficiency, improving satisfaction, and reducing expenses and technology costs. You'll experience a degree of autonomy as you support individual product team(s), while also being a part of a mature UX team collaborating with product designers and user researchers.
• In this role you will work with business, engineering, and product owners to understand the business vision and objectives, and collaborate daily to deliver design solutions that meet user needs and business goals.
• You’ll also benefit from the support of our broader UX community, where you can exchange ideas and learn from other design, content, and research practitioners.

In this role you will:

• Work in an agile environment. You will attend daily agile ceremonies with your aligned team, partnering closely with product owners, product designers, and engineers, as well as content designers, marketers, analysts, and researchers.
• Dig deep into user problems. You’ll be tasked with understanding complex product requirements and untangling interaction design problems to find the best solutions to help users complete their tasks.
• Continuously seek and integrate user feedback. You will help identify user research needs and participate in immersive user research, concept testing, and usability testing to evaluate UX effectiveness and determine where and how to optimize the experience.
• Coordinate across multiple projects and workstreams. You’ll learn a complex product ecosystem and collaborate with other teams to ensure a seamless experience for the user.
