Simulation Engineer – Remote (London, UK)About Aurexis
Aurexis is building the world’s first AI-native Operating System for construction companies. We help contractors build faster and finish on budget by unifying project workflows, predicting risks, and keeping costs under control. Our platform spans the full lifecycle of construction — from site selection and 3D digital twins to predictive project management and sales enablement.
We are a fast-growing startup already supporting projects worth over $850M. Join us in transforming one of the world’s largest, most critical industries.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Simulation Engineer (Remote – London/UK) to design and implement digital twins and physics-based simulations that let contractors test feasibility, optimize resources, and detect risks before building. You will create realistic 3D construction environments and integrate them with Aurexis’ AI-native OS, ensuring insights are actionable for project teams on the ground.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain 3D digital twin models of construction sites and assets.
- Implement physics-based simulations to evaluate feasibility, logistics, and resource planning.
- Develop pipelines to convert CAD, BIM, GIS, and drone/sensor data into interactive simulations.
- Collaborate with AI engineers to connect predictive analytics with 3D environments.
- Optimize simulation performance for desktop and web-based experiences.
- Work closely with construction partners to ensure simulations are practical and intuitive.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with simulation and 3D graphics engines (Unity, Unreal Engine, Babylon.js, Three.js).
- Knowledge of physics simulations and rendering optimization.
- Proficiency in 3D data formats (BIM, IFC, CAD, OBJ, GLTF) and workflows.
- Coding skills in C++, C#, Python, or JavaScript (depending on engine).
- Familiarity with geospatial/3D GIS data is a plus.
- Bonus: experience in construction tech, architecture, or digital twins.
- Comfort working in a remote, fast-paced startup environment.
What We Offer
- Fully remote role in the UK (London-based team).
- Opportunity to shape the digital twin and simulation foundation of an AI-native construction OS.
- Equity + competitive compensation.
- Direct impact on billion-dollar construction projects.
- A collaborative, mission-driven culture.
