What are we looking for? Essential Requirements Proven experience in managing or actively participating in online communities or networks. Experience in member support or customer service, with a strong focus on addressing user needs and fostering positive interactions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders from different professional and personal backgrounds. Familiarity with online community platforms Ability to facilitate discussions and online events. Experience of applying behavioural and/or social science to public health, clinical care, social care, education, sustainability and policy making. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in an online environment. An understanding of the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in community building. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Commitment to the mission and values of the BSPHN. Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Desirable Requirements Experience specifically managing a Community of Practice. Experience with knowledge management or capturing and sharing insights from group discussions. Experience in a commercial role involving delivery of services to paying customers Experience of operating back-end functions of online platforms (e.g. online networks, customer relationship management systems) Experience working within the public health, clinical care, social care, education, sustainability and policy making. Advanced Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Health, Medicine, Professions Allied to Medicine, Behavioural Science, Social Science, Policy Making). What will you be doing? We are seeking a team of enthusiastic and organised Community of Practice Managers to support the day-to-day operations and member engagement of the BSPHN Community of Practice (CoP). The BSPHN CoP is an online network for professionals applying behavioural and social science to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and equity of public sector service delivery across public health, clinical care, social care, education, sustainability and policy making. These roles will be instrumental in managing the online platform, supporting member interactions, addressing member needs, and ensuring a vibrant and active community environment. The Managers will work under the direction of the Community of Practice Director, contributing to the overall success of the CoP in pursuit of the wider mission of the BSPHN. Community of Practice Manager Responsibilities & Duties Manage the day-to-day operations of the BSPHN Community of Practice on the online platform. Support and engage directly with CoP members, addressing their needs, questions, and facilitating their interactions within the community. Monitor discussions and activities on the online platform, ensuring a supportive and relevant environment aligned with the BSPHN's mission. Support with organising and facilitating online events, discussions, webinars, or other activities to promote peer-to-peer learning and knowledge sharing within the CoP. Assist in systematically capturing and packaging learning and knowledge generated from CoP activities. Work with the Community of Practice Director to identify and implement strategies to enhance member engagement and growth. Provide technical support and guidance to members on using the online platform effectively. Contribute to reviewing content and suggesting materials for dissemination or discussion within the CoP. Support the Director in maintaining an inclusive and diverse community environment.
