We are a growing organisation dedicated to providing business and financial literacy education to the healthcare sector, through innovative programs, resources, and online experiences. With a strong focus on digital growth and member engagement, we’re looking for a highly technical and hands-on Web and Digital Growth Strategist to join our team, ideally in Sydney. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in website optimisation, SEO, social media growth, and digital marketing tools. You’ll be responsible for directly managing and executing digital strategies, ensuring our platforms are optimised for growth, and delivering measurable results.

About the Role

As the Web and Digital Growth Strategist, you will be responsible for the technical execution of our digital strategies. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the COO and the Operations and Growth Manager for BFD Education, you’ll focus on hands-on implementation of SEO, website optimisation, and social media strategies. This role requires a detail-oriented, data-driven individual who thrives on technical problem-solving and delivering measurable outcomes.

This is a Part Time position (FTE 0.8) with view to become full time.

Key ResponsibilitiesWebsite Management & SEO:

  • Hands-on management of website performance, including technical SEO, page speed optimisation, and user experience improvements.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and SEO audits to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Implement and monitor advanced tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) to measure website performance and user behaviour.
  • Collaborate with developers to execute technical updates, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the website is fully optimised for search engines.

Social Media Marketing:

  • Lead and execute social media growth strategies, including content creation, scheduling, and analytics reporting.
  • Establish and proactively optimise paid social media campaigns, including audience targeting, A/B testing, and performance optimisation.
  • Use advanced social media tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social) to monitor engagement, and identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow followers and engagement across platforms, with a focus on measurable results.

Online Course Management:

  • Manage the technical setup and maintenance of online course platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences.
  • Optimise course delivery systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement improvements based on user feedback.
  • Collaborate with the content team to ensure course materials are engaging, accessible, and aligned with digital best practices.

Digital Marketing Campaigns:

  • Plan and execute highly targeted digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, PPC, and retargeting.
  • Use advanced analytics tools to track campaign performance, generate reports, and optimise for ROI.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create data-driven strategies that align with organisational goals.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Report directly to the CEO, providing detailed updates on web performance, social media growth, and campaign results.
  • Work closely with the COO and Operations and Growth Manager to align digital strategies with organisational objectives.
  • Oversight of the marketing team to ensure all digital initiatives are executed effectively and on time.

About You

We’re looking for a highly technical, hands-on digital expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll need to be detail-oriented, data-driven, and passionate about delivering measurable results.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in technical SEO, website optimisation, and digital marketing tools (minimum 3-5 years).
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other tracking tools.
  • Hands-on experience with social media growth strategies, including paid campaigns and analytics.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with website CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and basic HTML/CSS.
  • Familiarity with online course platforms and delivering digital learning experiences.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Highly Desirable: Bachelor of Web Design, Bachelor of Computer Science, or a similar qualification in a relevant field.
  • Bonus: Experience in a highly technical or digital-first role within education or professional development industries.
