About Us

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our rapidly growing team at Dayforward. In this pivotal role, you will help design our cutting-edge SaaS product tailored to revolutionize the annuities and life insurance and industry. Reporting directly to the Director of Product, you will work collaboratively with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that empower carriers, distributors and consumers alike. You will also work closely with our partners to deeply understand their needs and transform those insights into actionable product improvements.

As a Senior Product Designer at Dayforward, you’ll play a key role in shaping product strategy, leading design initiatives across the product lifecycle, and creating thoughtful, innovative experiences that drive user engagement and fuel growth in the fast-moving insurtech space. 

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define and design intuitive, elegant user experiences.
• Own the end-to-end design process—from research and wireframing to prototyping and final UI.
• Translate complex financial concepts into simple, user-friendly interfaces.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate on designs.
• Maintain and evolve our design system to ensure consistency across the product.
• Advocate for the user while balancing business goals and technical constraints.
• Design experiences that leverage AI-driven insights to personalize investment journeys and enhance ease of use. 

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in product design, preferably in a startup environment.
• Proven ability to transform complex business requirements into simplified, intuitive user interfaces.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design skills and problem-solving ability.
• Present and defend design decisions with confidence, knowledge, data, research, and/or business requirements to support your rationale.
• Strong collaboration skills with engineering teams and experience solving complex UX challenges together.
• Strong ability to work in a fast-paced and low-maturity UX environment.
• Proficiency in Figma (or similar tools like Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Experience with user research, A/B testing, and data-informed design decisions.
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and mobile-first principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing for financial products (e.g., banking, investing, crypto).
• Familiarity with front-end development (HTML/CSS/React).
• Motion design or data visualization skills.

Salary

$120,000 - $130,000 based on experience.
