We are seeking a Web Solutions Architect with expertise in:

1. Consulting with clients on defining sitemaps, user flows, key website features/requirements and create specification documents.
2. Converting client business objectives into clear, actionable technical specifications and producing technical scope
3. Leading client calls and the development team through discovery, design, development, and launch process

This is for a full-time, remote-work-at-home position as our headquarters are in the US. We do require team members to work 8am to 5pm EST (with breaks) as our clients are in the US.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Consult with clients to define sitemaps, user flows, key features, and requirements, translating business objectives into clear, actionable technical specifications and documentation.
2. Turn client goals into complete technical solutions—including platform recommendations, functional flows, architecture choices, integration plans, and long-term technical implications.
3. Produce detailed technical scopes, estimates, and specification documents, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with performance, security, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
4. Lead clients and internal teams through discovery, design, development, and launch, providing technical clarity and direction at every stage.
5. Support the Sales team during all pre-sales activities, offering technical credibility, feasibility assessments, solution pitches, and scoping guidance during sales and discovery calls.
6. Validate estimates, timelines, and solution approaches to ensure deliverables can be executed efficiently, profitably, and within organizational capabilities.
7. Identify technical risks early and recommend mitigation strategies, while advising clients on options, trade-offs, constraints, and cross-sell opportunities that add long-term value.
8. Collaborate closely with Digital Strategy, Design, Project Management, and Development teams to maintain alignment with the intended architecture and provide ongoing technical clarification post-kickoff.

Requirements

1. 8+ years of experience in web development, engineering, or technical architecture.
2. 5+ years of practical experience in PHP, JavaScript, and CSS development
3. Hands-on technical experience working with WordPress, Shopify and/or Magento
4. Experience in digital agencies or similar service businesses is a strong plus.
5. Proven experience working with sales teams on proposals, pitches, and RFP responses.
6. Hands-on understanding of front-end, back-end, integrations, CMS/eCommerce platforms, best practices, and functional specification.
7. Proven experience scoping complex projects, estimating effort, and aligning technical requirements with business value.

Skill Set

1. Excellent, outstanding English skills and proactive client-facing communication
2. Understanding of web architecture (front-end, back-end, databases, servers).
3. Knowledge of API design, integrations, automations, and middleware tools.
4. Understanding of UX/UI principles, customer journeys, and conversion optimization.
5. Ability to map user flows, technical flows, and data flows.
6. Ability to assess technical feasibility, risk, and scope.
7. Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, business-friendly language.
8. Strong presentation and pitching ability for both technical and business audiences.
9. Ability to uncover client needs, propose solutions, and articulate business value.
10. Ability to build trust quickly and become a “go-to” technical advisor for the Sales team.
11. Ability to identify cross-sell opportunities (integrations, automation, CRO, advanced features).
