About The Role We are seeking a talented Content Designer to join our Product Design team, supporting the New Verticals initiatives across retail, grocery, and other consumer and Dasher experiences. Reporting directly to a Content Design Manager under the Head of Content Design, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the content strategy and user experience for emerging product areas. The ideal candidate will lead the development of clear, consistent, and engaging content that aligns with our brand voice, UX standards, and business goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, research, engineering, marketing, and design, to ensure our language enhances usability and customer satisfaction. Your work will help scale our content frameworks, embed innovative approaches in an AI-first environment, and contribute to the overall product vision for DoorDash’s expanding ecosystem. Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, or related fields
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end projects with cohesive storytelling and holistic design
- Strong understanding of systems thinking and translating complex concepts into simple, intuitive experiences
- Experience working with technical constraints and opportunities in AI, automation, and model operations
- Excellent storytelling, communication, and influencing skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Curiosity about emerging technologies and their implications for content and user experience
- Ability to develop and evangelize content standards, guidelines, and best practices at scale
- Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environments with diverse teams
Responsibilities
- Lead the content design and user experience strategy for New Verticals products and features, contributing to overall product vision and frameworks
- Embed technical depth into content strategies, demonstrating fluency in AI, automation, and model operations and their impact on content systems
- Develop scalable content patterns, frameworks, and parity across different geographies and user segments
- Innovate and explore human-centered content approaches in an AI-first landscape, ensuring relevance and clarity
- Partner with cross-functional teams—including product design, management, research, analytics, engineering, and marketing—to align content with business objectives and user needs
- Establish, maintain, and evangelize content standards, guidelines, and best practices as the product scales
- Collaborate with the content design team to support each other’s work, share insights, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
