Senior Graphic Designer

Brief Description Job Location: Remote-US, with 10-15% travel to Denmark Reports To: Creative Director The Dragon Shield story began in 1999, in the backroom of a Danish gaming store with a gamer who knew card game accessories could be better, and for over 20 years, Dragon Shield has been the market leader and standard bearer in high-quality sleeves. In 2024, we celebrated our 25th anniversary, but one thing has always remained the same: We are still gamers, and that is reflected in everything we do. You will join our Product Development department - a team of dedicated creatives, product managers, and quality specialists, all united by a passion for crafting products players truly care about. Working under the guidance of our Creative Director, you will shape the visual identity of new products and concepts for the Dragon Shield brand. You will apply design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques while staying curious about trends and technologies to keep our work fresh and relevant. What You Will Do

• Lead design on projects: scoping design needs, coordinating with cross-functional teams, illustrators, and production – ensuring all visual assets deliver at a high standard.
• Develop and execute creative concepts for new product launches.
• Manage multiple projects on tight deadlines.
• Mentor designers and partner with Creative Director/Art Directors to ensure the product feels cohesive, accessible, and inspiring.
• Participate in creative reviews to ensure work aligns with brand guidelines.
• Collaborate across disciplines, fostering a positive and innovative environment.
• Work with the Creative Director to ensure continuous improvement of design tools, workflows, and asset pipelines in collaboration with production and digital teams.

What You Will Bring

• 10+ years of professional experience in graphic design, layout or publishing with a proven track record to own and deliver sophisticated design projects.
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Expert-level understanding of layout systems and typography.
• Portfolio that shows clean, high-impact graphic design.
• Experience in art directing / commissioning of illustrations and graphic assets.
• Work with external licensors on a range of established and newer IPs.
• Flexibility to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver against aggressive timelines.
• Proven track record to mentor peers, lead design reviews, and provide creative direction on layout execution and visual structure.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with production teams and external vendors.
• Extensive experience in managing production timelines.
• Strong creative judgement paired with excellent technical execution, highly detail-oriented.
• Strong communication skills and comfort giving and receiving feedback.
