We're working with a leading foundational AI lab to find experienced automotive mechanical engineers who can help train their latest language model on vehicle engineering tasks.
We're looking for Senior and Principal engineers with significant experience in automotive or EV development who understand the full product lifecycle from concept through production. You know how to design for manufacturability at scale, how to work within APQP and DFMEA frameworks, and how the shift to electrification has changed thermal management, structural design, and powertrain engineering.
You'll create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated work across core automotive engineering workflows: component design and analysis, FEA for structural and crash performance, thermal and powertrain systems documentation, DFM analysis, and technical reporting to OEM standards.
Compensation: $110/hour
Commitment: Flexible, up to 20 hours per week (up to $2,200/week)
Location: Fully remote, work on your own schedule
Start date: March
Qualifications:
- Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer with significant automotive or EV experience
- Deep expertise in vehicle systems design, DFMEA, and manufacturing processes at scale
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
