About FAI

FAI are a consultancy business focused on supporting positive change in animal -based production systems. Through strategic partnerships we offer practical direction and solutions for a better food system. We work with global food companies to improve animal health and welfare, restore vitality in our essential ecosystems, and develop greater resilience within livestock and aquaculture supply chains.

Job Purpose & Overview

We are seeking a Junior Software Product Manager to join the FAI Insite team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a UK-based, fully remote role working at the intersection of digital product development, consultancy delivery, and client engagement.

The successful candidate will support the ongoing development, coordination, and improvement of FAI’s Insite applications, including assessment tools, reporting dashboards, data collection workflows (Inflow), and related platform features. Working closely with the Product Owner, software development team, consultancy team, and client users, you will help ensure that our digital products continue to evolve in line with user needs and FAI’s strategic objectives.

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role. It combines product specification and delivery coordination with user support and stakeholder communication. You will translate client and consultant requirements into clear product documentation, contribute to feature design and wireframing, support testing and release processes, and provide user training and support through our helpdesk systems.

The role offers exposure to both technical product development and real-world supply chain programmes. You will work within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team committed to strengthening food system resilience through a combination of consultancy expertise and practical digital tools.

While this position is initially a 12-month maternity cover, there is potential for longer-term opportunities depending on company growth, platform expansion, and increasing client demand for our digital solutions.
