Free Dates is a new kind of dating app — one where trust, kindness, and real effort drive connections. We’ve eliminated ads, subscriptions, and pay-to-play mechanics. Instead, we’ve built a Hearts Economy that rewards users for generosity, honesty, and engagement.

We're currently preparing for a closed beta launch, and we’re looking for Flutter developers to help us bring this mission-driven product to life.

Role Overview

As a Flutter Developer, you’ll play a critical role in building the mobile app experience that users will fall in love with — literally. You’ll collaborate with designers, product leads, and backend engineers to craft a smooth, intuitive, and trustworthy interface for our users.

You’ll work in sprints, build new features, and help us shape an app that’s as ethical as it is beautiful.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core features of the Free Dates Flutter app and web (iOS & Android)

• Integrate with backend APIs for user profiles, chat, Hearts system, and AI-based verification

• Collaborate on UI/UX implementation with our product and design teams

• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and regular feedback loops

• Write clean, efficient, well-documented Dart code

• Assist with testing, debugging, and improving app performance and security

Requirements

• Solid experience with Flutter & Dart

• Familiarity with mobile app architecture and state management (e.g., Provider, Riverpod, BLoC)

• Comfort working with REST APIs and integrating third-party services

• Strong understanding of responsive UI and animation techniques

• Git proficiency and collaborative development mindset

• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Firebase, GraphQL, or Bloc/Provider for state management

• Experience publishing apps to the App Store and/or Google Play

• CI/CD tools knowledge (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Codemagic)
