Friends of Friends is a design-led creative studio building cult-status brands. We’re looking for a freelance Social Media Manager with taste, initiative and commercial smarts to help our clients show up online - beautifully and effectively.

The role

Create and manage social that looks editorial, feels intentional and moves the needle. You’ll partner with our team and clients across strategy, content and community - from concept to reporting.

You

• Located in Australia or New Zealand
• 3+ years running social for lifestyle, hospitality or product brands
• A portfolio that proves strategy, craft and outcomes (not just pretty grids)
• Strong eye for aesthetics, tone of voice and storytelling
• Comfortable shooting scrappy-premium content and editing for IG/TikTok
• Confident briefing creators and photographers from an approved concept
• Organised, calm under deadlines, clear communicator
• Client-facing, proactive and brand-obsessed (details matter)
• Familiarity with scheduling/analytics tools (Later/Buffer/Meta Suite etc.)

What you'll do

• Build platform-specific strategies (IG, TikTok; Reels/Shorts native thinking)
• Plan calendars, write captions, schedule and publish
• Produce/brief content (short-form video, stills, motion)
• Optimise with insights and report results with clear next steps
• Maintain brand voice and visual standards across every touchpoint

Nice to have

• Experience with design-led brands or premium hospitality
• Basic motion skills a bonus
