Your Role
As Technical Business Analyst, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between our technical team and business stakeholders. You will apply a deep understanding of SharePoint and knowledge of technologies such as AWS and RESTful APIs to guide best practice integration with the FYI product and deliver evidence-based recommendations and solutions.
ResponsibilitiesTranslate business requirements into actionable specifications:
- Document and communicate user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria and process flow utilising knowledge of SharePoint, AWS, Integrations and RESTful APIs.
- Analyse and document and visualise data flows between systems, especially those hosted on AWS.
- Work with development teams to design and validate RESTful API specifications.
- Analyse complex problems including support escalations, propose innovative solutions considering diverse perspectives and potential impacts.
- Effectively evaluate and present solutions, balancing risks and benefits, to ensure specifications align with overall business objectives and technical feasibility.
Product roadmap development:
- Participate in product planning sessions and contribute to the product roadmap. Use insights to inform roadmap decisions and prioritise features that deliver the most significant impact.
Lead by influence:
- Effectively communicate complex information and recommendations to diverse audiences, gaining buy-in and fostering a shared understanding of user needs and project goals.
- Leverage expertise in SharePoint technology to guide our product development, ensuring alignment with industry best practices with a strong focus on risk and compliance throughout.
Collaboration:
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, quality, content, marketing) to ensure clear communication, alignment, and successful product delivery.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to propose and prioritize enhancements or new features based on business needs.
Stakeholder engagement and relationship management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, understanding their objectives, and providing value-added solutions.
Continuous improvement and innovation:
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analysis.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement, automation, or innovation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our solutions.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in a SaaS environment, with a strong understanding of product development processes and agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, clearly articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, securing alignment and stakeholder buy-in.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint, with a track record of guiding integration initiatives aligned with industry best practices, compliance standards, and product goals.
- Strong working knowledge of cloud technologies (preferably AWS), including analysing and documenting system architecture, data flows, and infrastructure considerations.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and integration protocols, including the ability to define, validate, and document API specifications in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Expertise in translating business requirements into detailed technical documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, process flows, and mock-ups.
- Proficient in analysing and resolving complex business and technical problems, including escalation issues, by evaluating alternative solutions and recommending the most viable path forward.
- Experienced in collaborating with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, quality, content, and marketing, to ensure aligned execution and successful product delivery.
- Adept at building and managing stakeholder relationships, engaging with internal and external parties to understand needs and provide value-driven solutions.
- Committed to continuous improvement, actively staying across emerging trends in technology and business analysis and identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance system efficiency.
