🤝 Cooperative and profit-sharing – contributors participate in the success of the games they help create.
🌍 Fully remote – our teams collaborate online from around the world.
⏱ Designed to work alongside life – we typically ask for around 10–15 hours per week.
🧠 Meaningful contribution – you're not here to make the tea. You'll contribute directly to real games.
🎮 Real experience – work alongside a multidisciplinary team and build something people can actually play.
📈 Shared upside – when our games generate revenue, contributors share in the profits according to our cooperative model.
These are volunteer positions and there is no salary or guaranteed income.
Team meetings typically take place between 18:00–21:00 UK time, so you'll need to be able to collaborate within that window.
Gamecrafters could be a great fit if you're:
- A graduate trying to break into the games industry
- Building a portfolio and need meaningful project experience
- A career switcher looking for your first games credit
- An experienced creator who wants to work on something different
- Looking for collaborators rather than simply another employer
- Determined to help actually ship a game
We're interested in what you can contribute, not simply what's written on your CV.
If you're looking for a traditional salaried position, this isn't it.
But if you want to build games, build experience, build your portfolio and share in what you help create, we'd love to hear from you.
Tell us:
- What role you're interested in
- What skills and experience you can bring
- A little about why you'd like to join Gamecrafters
- A link to your portfolio, GitHub, showreel or examples of your work
- How much time you can realistically commit each week
