Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

Responsibilities

  • The ability to write code, which is performant, well formatted, efficient, easily readable, maintainable, appropriately commented and adheres to common best practices.
  • Takes initiative to utilise libraries, pair programming, modern language features and tools where appropriate to solve problems efficiently.
  • Responsible for completing code reviews of other team member work to ensure a high level of quality.
  • Attending and participating in daily stand ups, design and specification meetings, showcases and retrospectives as part of the AGILE work practices of the development team.
  • Leverages AGILE/XP principles to understand and suggest improvements to the development process to empower the team with better collaboration and communication.
  • Build web applications with web development best practices
  • Transform app designs into front-end code with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Work with back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical requirements or UX design
  • Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimisations
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends

Qualifications

  • Awareness of the full software development life-cycle
  • Awareness working in an agile environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Proficiency with HTML5, including semantic HTML5 elements, microformats, and WAI-ARIA
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Angular
  • Experience with JavaScript libraries such as Bootstrap
  • Familiarity with CSS preprocessors such as Sass or Less
  • Experience with build tools such as Webpack and exposure to CI/CD pipelines

Angular (v13+ ideally) / Typescript / RxJS; Bootstrap (v5 ideally); SQL (Azure SQL ideally); CosmosDB / NoSQL or similar; C#.Net Core; Azure DevOps / Agile / CI/CD (Pipelines)
