About the opportunity As a Senior Data Analyst at Halfbrick, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our games through deep analysis, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll work closely with product, design, and engineering to uncover insights, guide decisions, and ensure we're building the best possible experiences for our players. If you're passionate about games, fluent in SQL, and love turning messy data into meaningful action, we'd love to hear from you. As a fully remote organization, we welcome applicants from anywhere, allowing you to contribute your expertise without the need for relocation. Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Quality
  • Build, validate, and optimize SQL queries and data-ingestion pipelines
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of core product metrics
  • Be hands-on in the setup of data queries and extracting information.

Analysis & Experimentation

  • Monitor KPIs (retention, engagement, revenue) and translate trends into actionable insights
  • Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to validate hypotheses and measure feature impact

Reporting & Visualization

  • Develop and maintain dashboards (Looker, Tableau, or Power BI) for real-time performance tracking
  • Produce ad hoc reports and deep-dive analyses to inform strategic decisions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Managers to prioritise the roadmap based on data, customer needs, and business objectives
  • Partner and help craft clear product requirements and user stories for engineering and design teams based on data
  • Collaborate to drive product lifecycle from discovery to delivery, with a focus on data-driven decision making.

Skills/Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a data-driven role (product, marketing, or business intelligence)
  • Expert SQL skills; advanced Excel modelling experience
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g, Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Solid understanding of experiment-design frameworks and basic statistics
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Notion).
  • Excellent communication: able to distil complex analyses into concise recommendations
  • Experience with Python for data wrangling
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize backlog of work for yourself.

Pluses

  • Background in mobile games.
  • 1 or more shipped titles in mobile games.
  • Knowledge of Figma, Miro, and Storyboarding.
