Senior UI Engineer

We are working with a modern, cloud-native digital consultancy that delivers exceptional engineering, composable commerce solutions, and data-driven digital experiences. With a highly experienced team, they operate on a remote-first basis and are scaling at pace, prioritising individuals who bring unique value beyond just technical skills. The Role

• Design and build high-quality, performant, and cohesive user interfaces across various client projects and internal products.
• Collaborate closely with back-end engineers, UX designers, and visual designers to determine the structure, layout, and behaviour of modern web interfaces.
• Implement responsive, accessible, mobile-first user interfaces using HTML, CSS, SASS, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build robust and maintainable React applications, including SSR and statically-generated pages.
• Optimise web pages for speed, scalability, and smooth user interactions, while writing clean, reusable, and testable front-end code.
• Debug, diagnose, and resolve functional, visual, and performance issues, translating design concepts into production-ready UI from Figma or Adobe XD.

What You'll Need

• Strong proficiency in core web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• Experience building production-grade React applications, including routing, data fetching, and SSR pages and components.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and how user experience influences implementation, as well as responsive, adaptive, and mobile-first design.
• Experience building and maintaining reusable component libraries with an emphasis on scalability, accessibility, and clean semantic code.
• Experience working with design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD, and an understanding of SEO principles relevant to front-end engineering.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
