At Infinity Fiction, our mission is to revolutionise gaming by blending human-crafted worlds with advanced AI to create truly unforgettable experiences, whether you’re exploring with friends or adventuring solo. 

Our first game, Tidefall, is the world’s first D&D-inspired Living World RPG that harnesses AI to bring a narrative to life on a scale never seen before. Built on D&D’s open ruleset, Tidefall lets players forge their own path, craft unique adventures, and engage with thousands of NPCs, creating alliances or making enemies in a sprawling, AI-powered fantasy world written by talented human writers. 

We’re seeking a talented and experienced Founding Graphic Designer & Illustrator to join our team and help shape the direction of our platform and first game.

We’re in start-up mode and it is a great opportunity to join us at the beginning of our journey. Whilst we cannot offer salaries at this time, we have excellent founder packages. Looking for great people full time or part time.

Responsibilities:

• Create 2D character designs, including captivating heroes, menacing villains, and unique creatures.
• Develop 2D backgrounds and location designs, crafting immersive environments for players.
• Create iconography and heraldry for different game genres, ensuring stylistic consistency across projects.
• Collaborate closely with the Creative and Front-End Engineering teams to align visual designs with gameplay and user experience.
• Contribute illustrations for marketing materials and social media content as needed.
• Ensure all artwork aligns with project art direction, style guides, and brand identity.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong digital illustration skills with a demonstrated understanding of art fundamentals.
• You are a wizard in the creative suite, particularly Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator (experience with other digital art tools is also valuable).
• Ability to interpret and respond to creative briefs, present concepts, and work collaboratively within a team.
• Creative thinking with the ability to generate original and engaging visual ideas and deliver on them. 
• Conceptualisation & adaptation skills, capable of refining illustrations based on feedback and integrating them with project requirements.
• Solid understanding of design principles including:

- Balance, contrast, hierarchy, alignment, proximity, and white space.

- Colour theory and how to use colour effectively to evoke mood and emotion.

- Composition, ensuring visual elements guide the viewer’s attention.

- Typography, including font pairing to enhance readability and identity.

- Visual hierarchy to emphasize critical elements in a design.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

Experience with motion graphics (e.g., Adobe After Effects).

Familiarity with branding principles and applying design consistently across different media.

Knowledge of additional illustration or design software beyond Adobe Suite.

Passion for gaming, especially fantasy or adventure genres, and an understanding of their visual aesthetics.
