Estimated Pay Rate: 73-83/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience level, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance. Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive, technically sophisticated design and art direction experience in retail, experiential, or environmental design and a demonstrated ability to apply these skills in ways that elevate brand excellence
- Demonstrated strength in operating in a design studio and delivering progressively complex projects of varying scales, budgets, and timelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present new concepts and designs to small and large groups utilizing Fimga, including presenting to executive leaders and external partners.
- Proven ability to guide external agency teams across a mix of complex projects.
- Strategic thinking and adept at connecting the dots across multiple approaches and outputs.
- Experience building out 2D and 3D renders using SketchUp and Enscape
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with a highly developed ability to cultivate relationships in an open, positive, and inclusive environment.
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Expert Seasonal Story Designer to support a large sports lifestyle retail brand in Beaverton, Oregon area. You will be part of the North America Seasonal Retail Brand Design team who is the steward of retail innovation in the biggest geography delivering seasonal retail storytelling for the Holiday season. You will work across one or multiple workstreams simultaneously, partnering closely with various internal teams and agency partners to deliver highly innovative and immersive concepts and experiences. You will support multiple retail activations that have anywhere from a 8-10 week work back schedule. Being comfortable with navigating ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment are vital to succeeding in this role.
Additional job responsibilities are below:
- Concept and lead an end to end design process of clear ideation focusing on exploration of color, materiality, texture, spacing, proportion, scale, and use of the environment.
- Support and partner with the Sr. Creative Director and Design Director to lead-term vision, strategic and tactical direction, and design continuity.
- Develop presentation materials using Figma or Keynote that effectively communicate design concepts to all levels of leadership and partners.
- Collaborate with producers, design counterparts, internal partners (Brand, Retail Brand, Brand Design, Digital, etc.) and external partners to ensure the feasibility of designs and functional needs are met.
- Actively gain knowledge and contribute to the development of the brand's standards, design ethos, products, and processes.
- Understand design processes to ensure results, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Lead an agency through design, production, red lines, providing feedback, mechanicals and delivery of installation
- You will likely travel 10-20% of the time.
