About the role

We are looking for a Brand Strategist & Copywriter who can lead the thinking and the writing. This is not a pure copy role. You need to understand positioning deeply and be able to translate it into words that resonate — across strategy documents, websites, social, and every touchpoint in between. You will work closely with the team across client projects, helping shape how brands sound, speak, and show up. This is a contractor role to start, with the potential to move into either part-time or full-time depending on fit, experience, and availability.

Location & availability

This is a remote role. We are based in Sydney, Australia (AEST), and require at least 4 hours of overlap with our working day to support collaboration, internal communication, and client calls.

What you'll own

• Brand strategy — positioning, messaging frameworks, tone of voice, audience definition

• Client meetings — running discovery sessions, presenting strategy, and taking clients through creative rationale

• Presentations — writing and structuring decks that communicate ideas clearly and confidently

• Website copy — page-by-page copy that is strategic, on-brand, and written to convert

• Social media copy — captions, hooks, and campaign copy adapted for each platform

• Marketing touchpoints — EDMs, ads, bios, taglines, pitch documents, proposals, and other brand communications

Portfolio requirements

Please include 2–3 examples that show both the thinking and the writing. We're looking to understand how you approach a brief, develop a strategy, and translate it into words across touchpoints. Applications without context or rationale behind the work may not be considered.

Bonus if you have

→ Experience working with B2B tech

→ Experience writing for website builds — not just copy, but understanding how pages are structured and why

→ A strong understanding of product positioning and how it shapes all brand communication

→ Interest in AI tools and how they can improve creative and strategic workflows
