Cinematics Artist- Global Remote Freelance

We are growing rapidly and have studios in India (in Gurgaon, Bangalore and Pune) as well as teams in the US, UK, Japan, and the Philippines. Our studio works on multiple exciting projects at any one time offering plenty of variety and involvement. We have worked on some of the biggest and most exciting IP's in the games industry, including Diablo Resurrected, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Halo Infinite, Returnal, Forza Horizon 5, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Borderlands 3, FIFA Online 4, PUBG: New State, Sea of Thieves, Amazon: New World, Dauntless, State of Decay 2, Middle Earth: Shadow of War, just to name a few. Our successful studio is continuing to grow, and we are looking for an experienced Cinematic Artist (UK time zone preferred but not required) to join the team. This is a fully remote 6-month freelance contract starting in June 2025, with the possibility of extension for another 6-12 months. This position is offered on a fully remote basis, but the successful candidate must be able to work within UK timezone hours. What we are looking for:

• Proven understanding of film language, storytelling structure, cinematography, and editing
• Strong eye for scene composition, camera blocking and animation, and lighting
• Ability to create assets ranging from screenshots to character-driven trailers
• Experience setting up cinematic scenes, including camera layout, VFX, and lighting in engines such as Unreal or Unity
• Comfortable working closely with cinematic animators to plan and execute motion capture shoots
• Skilled with timeline editors such as Unreal Sequencer or Unity Timeline
• Strong 3D software proficiency (Maya, 3DS Max, Blender)
• Familiarity with animation tools including graph editors
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
• Strong written English and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with tools programmers and contribute to cinematic tool development

Bonus if you have:

• Photography or motion graphics experience
• Generalist 3D skills
• Experience with lighting and post-processing
• Background in traditional filmmaking (directing, sound, shoot planning)
• Experience modding or working directly in game engines
