Role Description
This is a volunteer, part-time, remote role for a Social Media Manager. The Social Media Manager will work together with our Social Media Coordinator to execute social media strategies, develop creative campaigns, and optimize content across platforms (Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/thelazywomen/), LinkedIn, Substack). Responsibilities include creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, analyzing performance metrics, and ensuring alignment with Lazy Women's mission.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in social media marketing and social media optimization (SMO)
- Proficiency in Canva and strong graphic design skills (knowledge of design principles and visual storytelling)
- Familiarity with basic graphic design guidelines—including brand consistency, typography, and color theory
- Ability to follow and help develop brand identity using our existing brand kit
- Awareness of social media and pop culture trends, particularly in feminist, creative, and political spaces
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English
- Illustration skills or creative design flair are a plus
- Passion for feminism, social change, and community building
- Previous experience with volunteer or nonprofit organizations is a plus
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and organize work efficiently
- Availability during daytime hours (or strong organizational skills to plan and work ahead)
