Contract Position — Malibu West
*This is a remote position, but we would love to work with someone local to the Los Angeles or greater Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
Malibu West is a fast-growing creative and marketing agency serving global brands, high-impact startups, and public figures across multiple industries. We are known for producing premium digital experiences, cinematic media, and world-class branding.
We are seeking an Experienced Website Designer with advanced Framer expertise to join our team as a contractor. Experience with Wordpress, Wix Studio, Shopify, and Go High Level are a strong plus.Role Overview
The Website Designer will lead the design and build of client websites inside Framer, translating brand identity, creative strategy, and user experience principles into high-performing, visually elevated web builds. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, proficient in responsive design, and confident managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience with both Framer and Wix Studio is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and build complete websites inside Framer, from wireframes to polished, responsive final versions
- Create clean, scalable design systems and reusable components
- Implement interactions, animations, and intuitive user flows
- Ensure pixel-perfect design across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints
- Collaborate with creative, brand, and strategy teams to align on vision and functionality
- Conduct QA testing, troubleshoot layout issues, and maintain performance and accessibility standards
- Support ongoing updates or revisions for existing client websites
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expert-level proficiency in Framer (required)
- Strong portfolio showcasing modern, clean, and professionally executed web design
- Proficiency in UX/UI best practices and responsive design
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality
- Experience with animations, interaction design, and component-based builds
- Excellent communication and client-facing professionalism
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Not required but bonus: Experience with Wix Studio, Figma, Webflow, or additional web platforms
