Miimi & Jiinda is an Indigenous-owned Australian fashion and lifestyle brand grounded in storytelling, art, culture, and elevated design.

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Technical Production Coordinator to support product and production execution across Miimi & Jiinda’s collections.

This role is focused on ensuring product moves smoothly from sampling → fittings → approvals → bulk production, while maintaining strong oversight across timelines, technical details, makers, suppliers, trims, and overall product consistency.

This is a highly hands-on, execution-focused role suited to someone with technical fashion production experience who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving founder-led environment.

You will work closely with the Founder and COO to ensure collections are elevated, commercially executable, and operationally on track.

We are looking for someone who not only aligns with the operational needs of the role, but who also feels connected to the broader vision of supporting and contributing to an Indigenous-led creative business grounded in culture, storytelling, and impact.

Core Responsibilities

Production Coordination

• Coordinate production timelines from sampling through to fittings, approvals, and bulk production

• Track milestones, approvals, and deliverables to ensure production stays on schedule

• Support communication and follow-up across makers, suppliers, patternmakers, and contractors

• Identify delays or risks early and help keep production moving smoothly

Technical Product Support

• Support fittings and garment refinement processes alongside the Founder

• Assist in managing technical comments, fit updates, revisions, and production notes

• Ensure technical details and approvals are clearly documented and communicated

• Help maintain consistency across fit, finishes, trims, and garment execution

Supplier + Maker Coordination

• Coordinate day-to-day communication with makers and suppliers

• Ensure timelines, approvals, and production requirements are clearly followed through

• Assist in managing trims, accessories, packaging, and supporting production elements where required

• Help strengthen accountability and communication flow across external production partners

Product & Collection Support

• Support execution across upcoming collections, accessories, and product development projects

• Ensure product-related workstreams continue progressing operationally and do not rely solely on founder follow-up

• Maintain organisation across samples, production notes, fittings, and approvals

Ideal Profile

You are:

• Experienced in fashion production and garment coordination

• Strong with fittings, sampling, technical notes, and production flow

• Highly organised and naturally proactive

• Comfortable managing multiple moving parts simultaneously

• Calm under pressure and solutions-focused

• Collaborative, low-ego, and comfortable working closely with founders and external partners

• Commercially aware and understand how production decisions impact timelines and quality

You likely have experience in:

• Fashion production coordination

• Technical garment support

• RTW / premium fashion production

• Supplier and maker coordination

• Sampling and fittings processes

Reporting Structure

This role works closely with both the Founder and COO. The Founder leads creative direction and product vision, while the COO oversees commercial and operational priorities, accountability, and execution flow.

The Technical Production Coordinator supports both by ensuring product and production execution remain organised, elevated, and on track.

Contract Structure

Initially structured as a flexible contract role, with scope and structure to be reviewed as the business scales and operational needs evolve.
