Senior Frontend Developer (Part-Time / Contract)

National Digital is an Australian digital agency specialising in headless CMS integrations and custom application development. We're known for clean architecture, thoughtful integrations, and delivering flexible, scalable digital products.

We're on the lookout for a Senior Frontend Developer to join our small, experienced team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on technical ownership, clean code, and building modern web experiences using the Next.js ecosystem.What You’ll Work On

• Building and maintaining modern, performant frontend applications in Next.js
• Integrating headless CMS platforms, primarily Contentful
• Crafting GraphQL queries with fragment masking and type safety
• Collaborating closely with backend and design teams
• Occasionally contributing to backend logic (Node.js/Lambda/Serverless)

What We’re Looking For

• Expert-level experience with Next.js and React
• Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript, API integrations, and frontend performance best practices
• Strong experience working with Contentful or similar headless CMS platforms
• Deep understanding of GraphQL, including fragment masking and efficient query design
• Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment

Nice to Have

• SCSS/CSS: A working knowledge is expected, but visual design polish isn't critical in this role
• Laravel: Helpful but not expected — great if you’ve worked alongside or integrated with Laravel backends
