Content Producer
Job Description
Posted on: May 14, 2026
Nero · Manchester (Remote) · Full-time · £40–50k + performance bonus
Company Description
Nero is building the luxury house of natural-fibre activewear. Every other performance brand out there is selling you plastic. We're the opposite.
Creative is the engine of this business. You'll work directly with the founder, shipping short-form content that drives both organic reach and paid performance, at a level most DTC brands don't even attempt.
What you will do
- Take an idea on Monday morning, shoot it Monday afternoon, cut it Monday night, post it Tuesday.
- Shoot everything yourself when you can, talking-head, product, tabletop, lifestyle, cinematic. You own the camera, the lighting, the sound.
- Be on camera when the concept calls for it. We need someone unselfconscious who can host without it feeling stiff.
- When you can't shoot it yourself, a specific environment, a body type, a location, a moment, you source the right UGC creator and direct them to get the exact shot you need. You're resourceful by default.
- Cut your own edits to a high bar, pacing, sound design, type, colour grade. No "basic edits."
- Lead creative strategy on the content side. You bring hooks, formats, references, and points of view, not just execution.
- Know what works on TikTok, Reels, and Meta ads. Know the difference. Know why a hook lands at 1.2 seconds and dies at 3.
- When something is beyond your skillset (high-end motion graphics, VFX, 3D, illustration), source and direct the right freelancer. You own the output, not every keystroke.
You probably look like this
- 2+ years producing brand content end-to-end, ideally in DTC & Ecom. Or you're earlier in your career but your work is undeniable.
- A portfolio of 2–3 pieces you conceived, shot, and edited yourself, end-to-end.
- Genuinely strong taste. You can articulate why a piece of content works, not just that it does.
- A clear understanding of the difference between cheap UGC and cinematic storytelling — and the ability to produce the latter.
- Fast. You'd rather ship three pieces this week than perfect one over a month.
- Resourceful. When the brief doesn't match what you can shoot in-house, you find the right person, place, or piece of footage to make it happen.
- A network you can pull from: Freelance editors, motion designers, locations.
- Comfortable on camera. Not necessarily a performer — just unselfconscious.
What we offer
- £40-50k base, plus performance bonus tied to content KPIs.
- Direct line to the founder. No layers, no committee.
- Real budget for kit, freelancers, UGC sourcing, and ambitious shoots.
- A brand with a clear, defensible point of view — easy to make great work for.
- Manchester-based team, building something properly.
