The Opportunity

We're partnering with a global leader in battery manufacturing technology on an exciting newly created Power Systems Design Manager role. As they continue their European expansion, they're building out an impressive Renewable Project Development team and this is your chance to be part of it.

You'll be joining a dynamic, fast-moving business at a pivotal moment in the energy transition, working on a portfolio of large-scale energy storage projects across the EU.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading all aspects of power system network design, from application and grid negotiations through to financial close and beyond
• Heading up engineering feasibility studies and driving value engineering across projects
• Supporting the design of large-scale energy storage plants, equipment sizing, technical specifications, SLDs, layouts
• Reviewing and challenging contractor (ICP & BoP) design and engineering deliverables
• Carrying out power and electrical system studies, including transient and dynamic stability analysis
• Developing power system designs from 400kV down to LV
• Supporting business development, procurement, and project delivery teams with technical input across the full project lifecycle
• Owning technical design standards using tools like BIM, 3D CAD, and Digital Twins

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in electrical network design, ideally within renewables or energy storage
• Strong understanding of power system engineering from 400kV down to LV
• Familiarity with AIS & GIS substations, grid-forming inverters, and control systems
• Hands-on experience with DigSilent PowerFactory, BIM360, Revit, and/or AutoCAD 3D
• Solid grasp of Transmission & Distribution (T&D) networks
• Background in engineering, system planning, or consultancy within the energy sector (B2B) energy storage or renewables preferred
• Project management experience (including budgeting and engineering capex) is a strong plus
• A genuine passion for clean energy and the energy transition
