About the Role

We are seeking an innovative Senior UX Designer to lead the transformation of a data-intensive climate risk platform. This role is pivotal in replacing legacy interfaces and manual workflows with a scalable, intuitive React-based portal that empowers users to ingest, map, and validate complex datasets with ease. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, domain experts and non-technical to design experiences that unlock efficiency, scalability, and seamless integration across client systems.

We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to lead the end-to-end design of a new data ingestion and validation interface for Parser's climate risk analytics platform. This role involves transforming complex, spreadsheet-heavy workflows into intuitive user experiences for a diverse set of stakeholders, including non-technical users (e.g., Chief Sustainability Officers) and technical analysts.

You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to define the UX vision, create wireframes and prototypes, and shape the future of a tool that powers mission-critical ESG insights.

Key Responsibilities

• UX Strategy & Redesign: Lead the overhaul of a Plotly Dash interface, designing a modern React-based portal that supports configurable data-mapping and validation workflows.
• Workflow Optimization: Translate spreadsheet-heavy, manual processes into intuitive, automated user flows that reduce friction and error across disparate client systems.
• Data Visualization & Tooling: Design interfaces that support dynamic data ingestion, validation logic, and integration with climate risk models—balancing clarity, control, and scalability.
• User Research & Testing: Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to inform design decisions and ensure alignment with real-world workflows.
• Design Systems & Collaboration: Establish reusable design components and patterns in collaboration with frontend engineers, ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform.
• Design and prototype user-friendly workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes.
• Replace Plotly Dash-based components with a modern React UI, improving navigation, interactivity, and usability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to define user personas, journeys, and MVP scope.
• Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and design systems that support scalable, multi-tenant, and compliant platforms.
• Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback from pilot users to refine designs.
• Ensure accessibility and UX best practices for technical and non-technical users alike.
• Support a phased product roadmap, from discovery through MVP and scaling.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience designing data-intensive enterprise applications or B2B platforms.
• Strong expertise in user research, information architecture, and workflow-based UX.
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar tools.
• Experience designing dashboards, data mapping, and form-heavy interfaces.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and translate technical complexity into intuitive UI.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with React-based design systems or component libraries.
• Understanding of ETL workflows, data validation, or AI-assisted interfaces.
• Prior experience designing for multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Knowledge of climate risk, ESG reporting, or finance-related data products.
