IT Commerce Architect - Europe

We are looking for an IT Commerce Architect in Europe & UK (Remote) having extensive experience in driving Digital Transformation, Composable (MACH) Commerce, and Omnichannel eCommerce Architecture. Responsible for defining enterprise-scale cloud-native commerce solutions, migrating Monolithic platforms to Composable Architectures (AWS preferred), leading technical strategy, architecture, vendor evaluation, API-first integration, and guiding engineering teams while aligning technology with business objectives.

Key Skills:-

• Having 20+ years in Software Industry with 8–10 years in Software Architecture for Web & Mobile applications and 5+ years in Composable Commerce Architecture.
• Should have expertise in Composable (MACH) Architecture, Headless Commerce, Microservices, API-first Design, and Cloud-native Architecture.
• Proven experience migrating Monolithic eCommerce Applications to Composable Cloud Architecture (AWS preferred).
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js, React, CommerceTools, BigCommerce, Flooid Commerce, Contentstack, Contentful, Akeneo, Pimberly, Bluestone PIM, Algolia, Constructor, Fluent Commerce, OneStock, and Fulfillment Tools.
• Design scalable Multi-channel/Omnichannel eCommerce Solutions with focus on Performance, Scalability, Security, Integration, and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
• Collaborate with Business, Product, Engineering, and Technology Partners to translate business goals into scalable technical solutions; contribute to RFPs, Proposals, and Client Presentations.
• Drive Digital Transformation, Product & Platform Strategy, Technology Roadmaps, Vendor Evaluation, Solution Co-creation, and Continuous Architecture Improvements.
• Act as the bridge between business strategy and technical execution by translating business requirements into scalable, future-ready commerce architectures.
• Develop architectural blueprints, evaluate technology and design trade-offs, define target-state architecture, and guide engineering teams on continuous architecture improvements and software delivery best practices.
• Research and evaluate emerging commerce technologies, ensure data standards align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with external vendors and ecosystem partners to drive innovation and solution co-creation.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Native Design, AWS API Gateway, IBM API Connect, MuleSoft, Azure API Management; cloud certifications preferred.
• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture using Kafka, AWS EventBridge, IBM Middleware, Redis, AWS ElastiCache, and MemCache.
• Strong expertise in DevSecOps, Quality Engineering, API Security (OAuth, Certificates, API Keys), Encryption, Tokenization, Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
• Hands-on integration of Payment Gateways, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), and Net Banking solutions.
• Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, Email Marketing, Digital Commerce Best Practices, with excellent Client-facing Leadership, Communication, Analytical, and Stakeholder Management skills.
