About Practifi (The Real Story) At Practifi, we build financial technology, but more importantly, we build a place where people enjoy working and genuinely care about each other. In a crowd of fintechs preaching culture, we actually live it—what you see in interviews is what you'll experience every day. You'll join a team that solves real problems for real people, together. Job Summary We are seeking a UX/UI Developer with 4+ years' experience to join the Engineering team at Practifi, working on a modern SaaS platform for the wealth management industry. This is a hands-on UX/UI specialist role embedded within Engineering, responsible for designing and building high-quality user experiences across multiple product development streams, both within and outside the Salesforce Lightning platform. While Salesforce-native UX/UI is a core part of the role, we actively welcome strong UX/UI developers from modern web and mobile backgrounds. If you do not already have Salesforce Lightning experience, a strong willingness and ability to learn Salesforce Lightning, LWC, and SLDS is mandatory. You will work closely with product managers, architects, and engineers to deliver intuitive, scalable, and accessible experiences while also guiding and uplifting UX/UI practices across the Engineering team. Experience with AI-assisted design and development tools is highly valued. Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions). Key ResponsibilitiesUX Design & Product Collaboration
- Design end-to-end user experiences including user journeys, wireframes, interaction models, and high-fidelity UI designs using Figma or similar tools.
- Translate complex business and technical workflows into simple, intuitive UX/UI across web, mobile, and Salesforce-based interfaces.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to analyse requirements and define UX/UI solutions that balance user needs, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines.
- Apply strong user-centred design principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design practices.
- Contribute to and evolve shared UX/UI patterns and design systems across products.
UX-Focused Front-End Development
- Design and implement UX/UI directly in code using modern front-end technologies, including:
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- HTML, CSS
- Modern frameworks (e.g. React or similar)
- Build UI components and interactions for:
- Salesforce Lightning (LWC / SLDS)
- Non-Salesforce web and mobile experiences
- Partner with other engineers to integrate UX/UI with APIs, data models, and business logic.
- Ensure UX implementations are performant, maintainable, and scalable across platforms.
UX Leadership & Enablement
- Act as a UX/UI specialist within the Engineering team, providing guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
- Conduct UX and UI reviews, helping teams improve usability, consistency, and accessibility.
- Define and promote UX/UI best practices, interaction standards, and design guidelines.
- Advocate for UX/UI quality throughout planning, refinement, and delivery cycles.
Modern Tooling & AI-Assisted Development
- Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) to accelerate UX design, prototyping, and UI development.
- Use AI responsibly to improve productivity while maintaining high UX/UI and code quality standards.
- Stay current with emerging UX/UI, front-end, mobile, and AI-assisted development practices.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years' experience in UX/UI design and front-end development for SaaS, enterprise, or consumer products.
- Proven ability to design and build UX/UI, not design-only.
- Strong experience with modern front-end technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
- Experience designing for responsive web and/or mobile applications.
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning (LWC / SLDS), OR a demonstrated willingness and ability to learn Salesforce Lightning development is mandatory.
- Solid understanding of usability, accessibility, and interaction design principles.
- Ability to influence and guide UX/UI decisions across engineering teams.
- Expertise in human-centred design and structured design thinking
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Other Desired Qualifications
- Prior hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning, LWC, or SLDS.
- Experience building mobile-first or native/hybrid mobile UX/UI.
- Familiarity with financial services, CRM platforms, or workflow-heavy enterprise systems.
- Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.
- Experience working in Agile development environments (Scrum or Kanban).
- Salesforce certifications or prior ISV/OEM experience.
Why Join Practifi
- Work on a multi-platform SaaS product spanning Salesforce, web, and mobile.
- Be part of an engineering-led culture where UX/UI is embedded and influential.
- Use modern tooling, including AI-assisted development workflows.
- Collaborate with experienced product, design, and engineering leaders.
- 100% remote role within Australia, working with a Sydney-based team.
