Design Engineer

About the Opportunity:

The organization develops essential products for businesses, from early-stage to IPO and beyond, focusing on software builders. This opportunity is with a globally distributed remote team, working on the AI division to create innovative, AI-native user experiences and data-heavy workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the next version of an AI chat interface with advanced layout and input features

• Create a notebook-style interface combining AI-generated charts, SQL, and natural language

• Build a component library for rendering artifacts in a chat-based interface

• Invent new interaction patterns for data-heavy workflows in an AI-native environment

Requirements:

• Proven UI and UX design skills with shipped products in complex or data-heavy interfaces

• Strong experience in React and TypeScript frontend development, including reusable component libraries or design systems

• Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end product experiences from concept to launch

• High standards for product quality, polish, and detail

• Proficient in frontend engineering with the ability to independently ship production-quality components
