About the Company
CGK is a fast-growing home and bedding company with a portfolio of brands across sheets, pillows, mattress protection, comforters, and other sleep essentials. We sell primarily through Amazon and DTC, with a strong focus on building better products, stronger brands, and high-performing creative.
Our creative team works across everything from product launches and Amazon listings to websites, paid social, packaging, campaigns, and brand development. We move quickly, test often, and care a lot about both great creative and commercial performance.
About the Role
We’re looking to hire a highly independent Senior Designer & Creative Strategist with a strong design and art direction background who can work across brand, copy, e-commerce, and performance creative.
You should be able to take an initial business goal, develop a creative approach, and own the project through to delivery. This includes bringing your own recommendations, developing ideas and messaging, writing briefs, guiding designers, and producing high-quality creative yourself.
Our creative team is still small, so we need someone who is comfortable both setting direction and being hands-on. You’ll own day-to-day creative feedback and approvals within our agreed direction, helping projects move forward without requiring constant input from leadership.
As the team grows, there is potential for this role to evolve into a more strategic creative leadership position. For now, hands-on execution is a core part of the role.
This is a Full-Time remote role.
We are looking for a Senior Designer & Creative Strategist specifically with these requirements
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating strong hands-on e-commerce and digital design, with clear examples of your creative thinking and personal contribution.
- 4+ years of design experience, with hands-on experience in e-commerce design.
- Excellent layout, typography, hierarchy, color, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to translate business goals, product benefits, and customer insights into visual concepts, creative recommendations, and actionable briefs.
- Experience guiding designers or creative partners, providing clear feedback, and making independent creative decisions.
- Strong understanding of conversion-focused creative, with experience designing Amazon listing images, A+ Content, and DTC website or landing page assets.
- Advanced Figma skills, including production-ready designs, reusable components, and templates.
- Strong Photoshop skills, including product retouching, compositing, and image manipulation.
- Ability to organize existing messaging into persuasive visual stories and use performance results to recommend creative improvements.
- Comfortable using AI tools, including AI-assisted product imagery and new creative workflows.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong visual QA standards and excellent English communication skills.
- Previous experience with paid social creative or packaging design is preferred. Specialist copywriting and print-production expertise are additional advantages.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)
- Own creative projects from an initial business goal through concept development, hands-on design, and final delivery.
- Develop visual concepts and recommend creative approaches based on the product, audience, brand, and commercial objective.
- Write clear creative briefs covering objectives, audience, key messages, visual direction, and required deliverables.
- Personally create Amazon listing images, A+ Content, and storefront assets.
- Design landing pages, product pages, and campaign creative, adapting concepts for paid social and refining them based on customer insights and performance results.
- Guide designers and external creative partners, providing actionable feedback while remaining hands-on in execution.
- Own day-to-day creative decisions, visual QA, and approvals within agreed brand and project direction.
- Turn product benefits and existing messaging into clear visual stories, suggesting headline and wording refinements where needed.
- Collaborate with marketing and growth teams to translate customer insights and performance results into creative tests and improvements.
- Develop reusable Figma components and templates, maintaining consistent visual standards across brands, SKUs, and channels.
- Retouch and composite product imagery using Photoshop and AI tools where appropriate, and contribute packaging concepts and layouts as needed.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, growth, leadership, and external partners to keep projects moving and improve creative workflows.
Growth Opportunities/Perks
- Fully remote, location-independent role.
- High level of autonomy and ownership over your work.
- Opportunity to influence creative direction across multiple growing brands.
- Potential to help build and grow the creative team.
- Opportunity to evolve into a broader strategic and creative leadership role as the team expands.
This Position Is Perfect For You If…
- Hands-on e-commerce design is your strongest discipline, and you enjoy both developing ideas and creating the final assets.
- You can turn a business goal into a clear creative approach and an actionable brief.
- You understand how strong design can improve conversion, not just aesthetics.
- You’re comfortable guiding other designers, giving feedback, and making day-to-day creative decisions.
- You bring your own recommendations and move projects forward without constant creative direction.
- You enjoy working across formats, testing new ideas, and improving creative based on customer insights and performance.
- You work quickly while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Our hiring process is made up of four parts, so please be aware that you will need to dedicate time for a questionnaire, a video, 1-on-1 interview and the test project.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this position. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
