Senior Design Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Design Engineer with strong front-end engineering skills and exceptional design taste to help drive initiatives across the Super and Slite websites and apps. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who ships production-quality front-end code, while bringing the judgment, craft, and sensibility of a designer to everything they build.

What you'll do

• Design and implement high‑impact marketing websites and landing pages in partnership with Design and Marketing.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product to refine and elevate the core UI and UX for Super and Slite.
• Translate visual explorations into polished, responsive and accessible implementations with real craft behind them.
• Build and optimize end‑to‑end user flows to move users from A to B efficiently and intuitively.
• Articulate design–engineering decisions clearly and iterate based on feedback.

Who you are

• Several years of experience leading and implementing interactive web experiences.
• Expertise in frontend, either as a front-end developer or a designer who ships.
• Comfortable moving between visual design, motion, and front-end engineering.
• Able to build and maintain a robust design system with tokens, components, patterns, documentation, and usage guidelines.
• Strong understanding UX flows, hierarchy, accessibility, and micro-interactions.
• Known for exceptional taste, attention to detail, and a genuine love for craft.
• You have a strong, web-focused portfolio demonstrating sophisticated interactions and real front-end execution.

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, internal component library, class-based CSS, and Storybook for component isolation.
• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Datadog, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Postgres, Redis.
• Figma, Linear, Slite, Slack, and GitHub.
