Volunteer Marketing Manager | Spark UK

To lead the development and delivery of Spark UK’s marketing strategy across digital platforms, campaigns, and key events, helping us reach and inspire more young people to spark conversations around mental health. What difference will you make? As Volunteer Marketing Manager, you’ll play a vital role in shaping how thousands of young people across the UK engage with mental health. Your work will directly impact how our campaigns are seen, shared, and remembered — helping to spark open, honest conversations around mental health in schools, homes, and online communities. By building a strong and consistent digital presence, you’ll amplify youth voices, break down stigma, and inspire young people to take positive steps for their wellbeing. Your creativity and leadership will help bring national campaigns like Sparky & Friends and All Star Advent to life — ensuring they reach the young people who need them most. In short you’ll be helping to change the narrative around youth mental health — one post, one campaign, and one conversation at a time. What are we looking for? Experience in marketing, communications, or social media Confident using platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Canva Strong written communication and organisation skills Proactive, creative, and able to work both independently and collaboratively Passion for youth mental health and Spark UK’s mission What will you be doing? As our Volunteer Marketing Manager, you’ll lead the development and delivery of Spark UK’s digital marketing activity — helping us reach and inspire more young people to spark conversations around mental health. You’ll take the lead on shaping our weekly social media strategy, working closely with our team of content creators and designers to plan and schedule posts across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. You’ll also support promotion for key campaigns such as Sparky & Friends, All Star Advent, and Spark Schools, as well as contribute to monthly email newsletters and light-touch website updates. The key deliverable is a consistent, engaging online presence that reflects our brand and amplifies our campaigns. You’ll work closely with Spark UK’s CEO and the wider volunteer team, including regular 1 1 check-ins and a fortnightly Zoom call for support and collaboration. While the role has a structure in place, there’s flexibility — we’re open to shaping it around your interests and strengths, whether that’s strategy, content creation, analytics, or campaign planning.
