The Role
The Product Designer is a member of the team responsible for the strategy, roadmap and feature definition of Syniti’s products and solutions. They will perform thorough research of the markets and market segments that Syniti addresses or will address in the future. The Product Designer should be an evangelist for the products and solutions and should ensure all necessary departments in the organization understand the problems that are being solved, along with the value to the customer and the differentiation from our competitors. They will work with product owners or directly with the engineering, testing and documentation teams to define and communicate new product requirements as well as supporting the teams throughout the entire process. Leveraging market knowledge about the need and value of features will be required to prioritize the product backlog to ensure timely release of features.
What you will do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of product owners, subject matter experts, engineers and stakeholders to define product vision and requirements.
- Dig deep into complex business problems to understand user needs, workflows, and underlying data challenges—translating insights into impactful design solutions.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to frame problems, validate hypotheses, and drive clarity and alignment across teams.
- Translate business goals and product requirements into user-centered experiences that align with UX best practices and accessibility standards.
- Create user flows, wireframes, high fidelity mockups and prototypes to communicate design concepts to product and engineering teams.
- Drive user research initiatives (e.g., interviews, contextual inquiries, qualitative and quantitative usability testing) and synthesize insights to inform design decisions.
- Contribute to maintaining, evolving, and leveraging Syniti’s design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across products.
- Clearly articulate design rationale and expectations to engineering, QA, and documentation teams, ensuring the intent behind each product or enhancement is understood and implemented accurately.
- Act as the voice of the end users—advocating for usability, clarity, and measurable value in every feature or improvement.
- Engage directly with Syniti’s customers, leading design workshops, feedback sessions and user research exercises.
- Champion a collaborative, problem-solving mindset—helping the team move forward with clarity, momentum, and purpose.
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a related field, ideally within enterprise or data-driven SaaS products (e.g SAP); remote experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Figma design solution; knowledge in new Figma or other Design AI tools is preferred.
- Current experience with UX within an Agile/Scrum engineering environment.
- Experience with work item and defect tracking management systems (e.g JIRA).
- Experience in highly collaborative organizations and with constantly shifting product needs and goals.
- Experience running design workshops and activities that facilitate progression through the various stages of the design process.
- Ability to articulate design issues and thought process while presenting design solutions and recommendations to cross functional teams.
- Experience designing for complex, information dense interface such as data or ERP products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design approaches with detail-driven problem-solving use cases.
- Ability to drive initiatives from discovery through to completion with minimal need for supervision.
- Understanding of design for multiple form factors; mobile design is preferred but not required.
- Superior communication skills, verbal, written and visual with the ability to create design specs and deliverables for Engineering and Product teams that are clear and easily understood.
- A passion for creating user centered and innovative experiences for users.
- Team player capable of providing support across the organization to train and assist others.
- Background or hands-on experience in front-end development (HTML/CSS/JS or equivalent) is a plus and valued for better collaboration with Engineering.
