User Experience Consultant

UX/UI Developer (Contract)Location: Remote (UK-Based)

Rate: £350 - £450 per day (Outside IR35)

Overview:

We’re looking for a highly skilled UX/UI Developer to join a global company on a 3–6 month remote contract. This is a design-led role focused on re-imagining and rebuilding the front end of our B2B ordering platform. The back-end systems and customer journey are already working effectively — your mission will be to modernise and streamline the user interface to improve usability, accessibility, and visual appeal across desktop and responsive formats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the UX/UI redesign of a customer-facing ordering platform
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to interpret requirements and transform them into clean, user-friendly interfaces
• Build front-end components using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript
• Work with Razor views to integrate the new UI with the existing .NET back-end
• Ensure designs are responsive, accessible, and aligned with brand guidelines
• Conduct light usability testing and iterate based on feedback
• Own the visual and interaction design with a design-first mindsetRequired Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a UX/UI Developer with a strong portfolio of responsive web applications
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and vanilla JavaScript
• Experience working with Razor (ASP.NET MVC) views/templates
• Strong design sensibility and ability to create polished, production-ready interfaces
• Comfortable using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or similar (for visual prototyping/mockups)
• Experience working in SaaS or enterprise B2B platforms is a big plus
• Ability to work autonomously, remotely, and to tight deadlines

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SaaS design conventions and complex data-heavy interfaces
• Familiarity with SCSS/SASS
• Experience with front-end testing or QA is a plus, though not essential
