About The Halsey Group
The Halsey Group is a boutique creative studio specializing in scenic and experiential design for live events. From keynote stages and product reveals to immersive brand activations, we create stunning environments that communicate emotion and intention. Our core focus is delivering high-end renderings, scenic design packages, and concept development for corporate events, tours, exhibitions, and unique one-off experiences. We combine strong storytelling, technical accuracy, and cinematic visualizations to help clients envision what’s possible—before it’s built.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Junior Experience Designer to support our growing project load and help bring immersive event environments to life. This is a growth-track position with a clear path toward becoming a Senior Experience Designer. You’ll spend most of your time 3D modeling, painting, texturing, and prepping scenes inside Unity—and later, Unreal Engine—as the team completes its migration. Beyond 3D work, you’ll contribute to venue research, design development, and general creative support across a wide range of live event projects. This is a well-rounded role for someone eager to grow in both visual storytelling and production design.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of scenic and environmental 3D designs for live events
- Build models and assist in set dressing, layout, lighting, and texture work
- Render high-quality stills for client presentations using 3ds Max, Unity, or Unreal
- Research venues and technical specs to help inform creative direction
- Prepare layered PSDs and design documentation in Adobe Creative Suite
- Pitch in on various tasks that keep the team moving and support deadlines
Qualifications
- Comfortable in 3ds Max, Unity and/or Unreal Engine, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong skills in 3D modeling, UV/texturing, and rendering workflows
- Ability to work independently, take feedback, and manage your time
- Bonus if you have a background in scenic, theatrical, or architectural design
- Curiosity and a passion for building memorable environments
**Additional Information**
This is a full-time remote position with an expected commitment of 50–60 hours per week.
All software and assets will be provided. Having your own PC during the onboarding phase is helpful, but not required.
