Join TIG and help shape the future of intelligent, secure and impactful technology solutions.

About You:

You are an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer who thrives on turning complex ideas into elegant, performant, and intuitive user experiences. You bring strong modern frontend expertise and a passion for building clean, scalable interfaces, especially in data-rich or real-time environments.

You're a confident senior individual contributor who takes ownership, brings clarity, and raises engineering standards. You collaborate naturally with designers, backend engineers, and ML specialists, and you communicate technical decisions clearly to any audience.

You have a solid track record delivering high-quality web applications end-to-end and are excited by the chance to help define tooling, frameworks, and best practices for a growing frontend function. You value great code, but also documentation, knowledge sharing, accessibility, and thoughtful UI/UX.

Curious and forward-thinking, you stay up to date with modern frameworks and enjoy contributing to innovative projects, from real-time interfaces and PWAs to visualising complex data or integrating AI-driven features.

About The Team:

You’ll join a small, growing Frontend Engineering team within our Software Development and AI function. We work closely with backend, ML, UX and QA colleagues to build intelligent, data-driven products.

You'll help shape how we deliver modern UI experiences across web, desktop, PWAs and browser extensions, working on challenges such as real-time interfaces, complex visualisations, and AI-powered features.

We value engineering excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement, with everyone contributing to standards, tooling and ways of working.

About The Role:

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimising high-quality user interfaces across our suite of data-driven applications. You'll work closely with designers, backend engineers, and machine learning teams to create seamless, performant, and visually compelling experiences. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex UI challenges, influencing engineering standards, and helping shape the future of our frontend capability as we scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain modern, performance-focused frontend applications across web and desktop platforms.

• Develop and optimise reusable UI component libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency across products.

• Translate UX wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts into high-quality, accessible user interfaces.

• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs, manage data flows, and ensure a seamless end-to-end experience.

• Establish and champion best practices in coding standards, architecture, documentation, and frontend processes.

• Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality, scalability, and maintainability.

• Implement testing strategies using tools such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright to support robust, reliable releases.

• Ensure interfaces are accessible and meet WCAG standards.

• Diagnose and resolve complex UI issues, including performance bottlenecks, browser inconsistencies, and rendering challenges.

• Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting new tools, frameworks, and approaches to enhance developer experience and product quality.

• Work on innovative projects involving real-time updates, visualisation of complex data structures, and interactions with AI/ML features.

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • High-quality, scalable frontend applications delivered consistently, with clean architecture, reusable components, and strong performance across browsers and devices.
  • A noticeable uplift in UI/UX standards, with improved consistency, accessibility, and user satisfaction across our products.
  • A more mature frontend engineering practice, where you contribute to establishing clearer patterns, tooling, documentation, and ways of working for the team.
  • Effective collaboration with designers, backend engineers, and ML teams, helping turn complex ideas and data into intuitive, user-friendly experiences.
  • Reduced bugs, faster delivery cycles, and improved reliability through thoughtful testing strategies, automation, and proactive technical decision-making.
  • Clear ownership and accountability, taking responsibility for end-to-end delivery of features, ensuring quality at each stage.
  • Meaningful impact on product direction, providing input on architecture, UI strategy, component libraries, and future technical choices.
  • Positive influence within the team, mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and helping build a supportive, high-performing engineering culture.
  • A proactive approach to innovation, introducing modern techniques, tools, or ideas that elevate the user experience and developer experience.
  • Visible contributions to shaping the future of the frontend function, particularly as the team grows and expands into new technologies such as PWAs, desktop apps, and browser extensions.

Why Join Us?
