ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a part-time to full-time remote role for a Design Team Lead at TST. They will oversee the operations of The Social Team’s Design Studio and collaborate closely with Social Media Strategists, designers, and freelancers to bring social media strategies to life visually. Reporting to the Lead Social Strategist and CEO, the Design Team Lead ensures that all creative assets across client accounts align with each brand’s strategy, aesthetic, and platform best practices. This includes translating content concepts and campaign ideas into clear creative briefs, assigning work to designers, reviewing and refining outgoing assets, and maintaining a consistent visual standard across accounts. The Design Team Lead plays a crucial role in bridging strategy and execution—ensuring that design workflows run smoothly, creative requests are prioritized effectively, and final deliverables support both the health of the account and the broader strategic goals of The Social Team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience creating visual content for branded social media accounts, including graphics, short-form video, and other platform-native assets
- Strong understanding of social media platform specifications, visual trends, and best practices for engaging digital content
- Experience managing creative workflows, including assigning work, reviewing drafts, and providing clear design feedback
- Ability to translate abstract content ideas and strategic goals into actionable creative briefs and visual concepts
- Proficiency in design and editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar creative software
- Strong attention to detail and quality control, with the ability to review creative assets for accuracy, accessibility, and platform optimization
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work closely with strategists, designers, and clients
- Strong organizational and self-management skills to balance multiple design requests and shifting timelines across client accounts
- Familiarity with project and task management platforms is a plus, as many of our day-to-day operations run on Monday.com
- Familiarity with theatre, music, and entertainment industries is a major plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field
