Short Story Writer

Test Run Club is a new text-based video game publishing house. We are seeking authors who would like to submit their short stories to be gamified and illustrated.

We are looking for short stories that are about 10.000 words, or 20 pages long.

The topics are broad, but we are mainly looking for psychological and magic realism.

We aim to develop relationships with writers that enable us to build a portfolio of exceptional stories.

How to apply

• Each author can apply with up to three stories. Each story must have a title and a 150-word synopsis. Each story must be in a separate PDF
• You must write and sign a disclaimer that states that said story is original, not generated with AI and not published before.
• Sent to authors@testrunclub.com by the 30th of June.

What we consider:

• The quality of the prose.
• Viability to adapt the story to a video game format
• Potential for compelling illustration.
• Viability of making a series out of it.

Selected authors would receive our editing services, as well as the gamification and illustration of their stories. As a selected Author, you have the option of selling the copyright of the story directly to us or to be a partner author and get royalties per play on the video game.
