The View Magazine is a feminist human rights platform that publishes a quarterly magazine and campaigns for a better world for women in the justice system. We support women in English prisons, those out on license, survivors of domestic abuse, asylum seekers, and women forced into honor marriages. Our focus includes mental health, rehabilitation, and protecting women's rights. We nurture creativity to help these women narrate their stories and work towards better futures. We pay £50 for published contributions of visual arts, people with lived experience, prose, and poetry, helping to improve mental health and reduce reoffending.
Role Description
This is a remote volunteer role for a Graphic Designer. As a Graphic Designer volunteer at The View CIC, you will be responsible for creating engaging visual content for our magazine and campaigns. Your tasks will include designing graphics, logos, and branding materials, as well as working on typography. You will collaborate with the editorial team to ensure that your designs align with our mission and add value to our advocacy efforts. Able to work on InDesign, 230-page digital magazine, immediate start. Publication deadline is 30th October 2025
Qualifications
- Graphics, Graphic Design, and Logo Design skills
- Experience in Branding and Typography
- Strong attention to detail and creativity
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Understanding of feminist and human rights issues is a plus
- Previous experience in volunteer or non-profit organizations is beneficial
