2D Animator – YouTube Shorts

Join an exciting project focused on creating engaging, story-driven animated shorts for a new YouTube channel. As a 2D Animator, you will be responsible for the entire animation process, from concept development and storyboarding to illustration, design, and final animation. The goal is to produce captivating 60-second shorts that resonate with audiences and, if successful, expand into longer-form content. This remote, part-time contract role offers flexibility and the opportunity to showcase your creativity and storytelling skills in a fast-paced digital environment. Deliverables

• Develop original concepts and storyboards for short-form animated videos (approximately 60 seconds each)
• Illustrate and design characters, backgrounds, and visual elements in line with the channel’s style
• Animate complete shorts, ensuring smooth motion, clear storytelling, and engaging pacing
• Edit and finalize videos, incorporating basic sound design or effects as needed
• Deliver polished, ready-to-publish videos on a consistent schedule
• Collaborate on creative direction and adapt to feedback to improve content quality

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in 2D animation, with a portfolio showcasing short-form or narrative work
• Proficiency with animation software such as After Effects, Toon Boom, Blender (2D), or similar tools
• Strong sense of timing, humor, and visual storytelling
• Ability to independently manage the full animation pipeline from concept to final delivery
• Basic video editing and sound design skills are a plus
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines in a remote work environment
• Flexible availability to accommodate a part-time, contract-based schedule
