Freelance Web Developer – Ecommerce

Join a project to build a premium ecommerce platform for a new fine art print brand. This role focuses on developing a minimal, gallery-inspired website using Shopify or WooCommerce, tailored for luxury and architectural aesthetics. The site will launch with a curated selection of artworks and scale to accommodate a growing catalog, requiring robust backend systems and seamless integration with automated print fulfillment. You will play a key role in shaping the digital presence of a brand dedicated to high-end art presentation, ensuring both visual excellence and technical performance. Deliverables

• Develop a fast, scalable ecommerce website on Shopify or WooCommerce with a clean, contemporary design.
• Integrate Lumaprints for automated print-on-demand fulfillment.
• Implement support for large-format prints in multiple sizes and materials.
• Build a comprehensive trade/wholesale pricing system with manual approval and login-based pricing.
• Create custom order and inquiry forms routed to the backend.
• Design and launch key site pages: Home, Shop, About, Trade/Designers, Interiors, Contact, and legal pages.
• Optimize site speed and ensure a gallery-style layout with generous white space.
• Ensure the platform is scalable to support 50+ artworks and future growth.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing Shopify or WooCommerce ecommerce sites, ideally for art, design, or luxury brands.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating clean, minimal, and high-end web design.
• Expertise in integrating third-party print-on-demand solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of site speed optimization and scalable architecture.
• Ability to implement custom pricing systems and secure user authentication.
• Attention to detail in design, structure, and user experience.
• Experience with gallery-style layouts and visual storytelling.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver on project timelines.
• Availability for follow-up work as the brand expands.
